The History of Stamats Communications, Inc.

Stamats in the 1950's
Stamats was founded in 1923 as a marketing services firm by two young creative
entrepreneurs, Frank French and Herbert Stamats.
Just as the Stamats of today, they focused on a few markets and utilized the most effective methods available for realizing success for their clients.
The first half-century of Stamats' business utilized print media, including custom publications and business-to-business magazines. It was during this period that Stamats became known for creativity, quality and market specialization.
In the 1980's Stamats was the first company to offer market research services to higher education institutions. It was during this decade that Stamats began expanding its business media offerings by adding events such as The Buildings Show, a trade show for the commercial buildings industry.
Stamats was an early adopter of electronic media as far back as the 1970's when it introduced computer-operated video magazines. Throughout the 1980's Stamats continued to expand in electronic media and offered clients innovative marketing solutions utilizing personal computers. When the internet became available in the 1990's, Stamats jumped right in and became one of the first companies to provide web site development services to colleges and universities.

Similarly, Stamats quickly expanded its business media brands to the internet when commercial web browsers became available.
Today, Stamats provides a wide range of solutions for its clients and customers and continues to be owned and managed by descendants of Herbert Stamats and their families. We choose not to be "married" to any particular medium, but instead push ourselves to stay ahead of the curve and become familiar with new and changing media. As a result, we offer a full range of marketing, consulting, research and business media services and limit ourselves only to products and services which are effective for those we serve.
A key attribute of Stamats' longevity is staying young with the solutions we provide, but holding fast to the values that have been with us since our founding.
